That last panel raises a certain fair, but awkward, question, which I'm just going to go ahead and answer:
No, there aren't any holes from where the tail was.
A common question after the previous comic was "why did Nanase jump? She was within reach of the switch." There are a few reasons:
- She was close enough to touch the switch, but not to get a firm grip. She would have had to stretch to get a fairly weak grip on it.
- Even if she could grab the switch from where she was, her arm would be stretched straight up above her head. I don't recommend trying this (it can hurt), but your arm doesn't want to bend / twist in the direction that would be necessary to actually activate the switch from where she was.
She could have bent her forearm, but when you consider she could barely reach it to begin with, I don't think it would have worked for flipping the switch. It would also severely limit the force she could apply
- She would be hanging from the ceiling by only three limbs while in an awkward position she couldn't safely adjust (due to parts of the ceiling she couldn't touch). She also wouldn't be able to put her weight into it from that position.
There's also the issue that, if she tried it and failed, she might not manage to put her hand back in the same spot, which could have triggered whatever happens when the red spots are touched.
OF COURSE, it could very, VERY fairly be pointed out that what Nanase did with her tongue, be it lizard-powered-nonsense or not, was equally impossible.
To that I say "it was cool", which allowed her to get away with it.
