The Buffer, 3 a Week Schedule, and Filler
I'm still working on it, but I'm not starting up the story comics again until I have nine comics in the done column of the status table, and several in the other various stages (at least six ready to be sketched). I'm doing this for a few reasons, the most key being that I want to go back to three story comics a week. Starting with a three week buffer and having the groundwork for two weeks after that should be a buffer that even I would have trouble ruining (knocks on wood).
So far, progress has actually been good. The hardest part will be when it comes to get the nine comic buffer inked, but it's been smooth sailing so far thanks in large part to many, many, MANY storyline modifications, including the start of a story arc that is just a few comics away from happening. I hope to actually start up again a week from Monday, but I MAKE NO PROMISES. I will be starting up again on either a monday, wednesday or friday. Whichever of those is closest to when I complete the buffer (there will be a news post beforehand).
I think it would be wise to take back the "all full color fillers" notion, as it takes away precious time from working on the buffer. And any of the fillers I really want to do I'll get to eventually anyway, so I may as well save those and post more sketchy stuff for now.
